Which is better? We want your opinions

Thats the question i've been asking a lot recently,
Which game is better?

Personally, i still prefer good old Cod4.
The game was so good i think i almost expected mw2 to be something just like it.
I was obviously wrong.
Yes Cod4 had its problems, Frag spam, martydom, Camping etc.
But the online multiplayer was soo much better in my opinion.
Cod4 allows you to play more agressively unlike mw2.

Mw2 has its good points,
such as no frag spam, martydom no longer a problem, more weapon choice, the list is endless.
But it makes you play so much more defensively. Camping is a HUGE problem and all the guns too quickly.

I think i was expecting an updated Cod4 with mw2.
But i was wrong..

So tell me your opinions,
what do you think?

When you say martydom is no longer a problem, thats true you very rarely see anyone with it on.

yh i do think you have some good points der i think they needed more snipers for mw2 and
every one is camping i think in the next update they need
to work on some of these things im still not sure which game i like more

I think we all know both games are better than WaW
WaW is a broken game :/ No fun to play with all the mp40 spam.

To me Cod4 has been the best,
Although WaW was the first to get me into Call of Duty I still see Cod4 which started of my CodCraze

Mw2 is really good game,
and perhaps after time it will get better,
but as of now Cod4 reigns victorious for me

Modern Warfare 2 has brought the Cod saga into the new age, with cutting edge particle rendering, awsome physics engine, and huge advancement in physical resource management. it shows as a huge benchmark and has current up to date weapons, aleit with slight inaccuracys, but mainly it is the most accurate multiplayer war game that has been released to date. i give every merit to Infinity Ward as they have consistantly put a new twist onto the games. they are all, in effect the same thing. the same basic idea that has been reused with different interpretations. as a last message, if MW2 was the same as CoD 4 would people actually want or need to buy Cod 6? would you want to play it like you do?

you say that , but you needed a "skill" to play cod 4 while mw2 helps noobs for doing bad, unless your a Pro gamer you should stick to mw2

actually, i will agree to that as compared to most games, the guns have no recoil. the only inaccuracys there are in this game are the aiming down sights with the snipers and the bullet spray. i haven't played CoD4 so i couldn't tell you whether it does need more skill, but i can tell you that on PC, if you dont move within less than 1 second in any situation...your dead.
also, i swear there are some people who aimbot bad on the PC...

Your right mat you have given food for thought,
but here's even more food for thought.

Cod4 is still as of now being used in proffesional competitive gaming,
Mw2 has not even been considered being used as it takes no skill to play.
You could literally give the controller/keyboard to a 4 year old and he would be guaranteed at least a kill.

Cod4s graphics at the time were also mindblowing, considered that cod4 is 2 years old its no wonder Mw2 looks as good as it does. Even WaW looked better than Cod4 so imagine what Cod7 will look like.

Cod4 was where the real skill was needed, Yes cod4 had many many problems, Such as Martydom or Juggernaut (however i'd rather 3 people with juggernaut run at me than come face to face with a guy with painkiller on) But Mw2 has even more problems, as said before Painkiller, i take that back, All deathstreaks have possibly been the stupidest idea ever brought into gaming. Where is the sense in rewarding players for dieing? Why would someone who's doing bad be allowed a better chance of survival compared to a guy who's going flawless?
Another thing is the killstreaks, Chopper Gunner has to be the most unfair killstreak in the game, as it automatically spots the players for you, It navigates over spawn points and is almost impossibel to take down with the new update.
Mw2 went 5 places forward in gaming, but took 20 steps backwards in skillful play.

And mw2 is definately now where near the most realistic war game of today. You want to play a realistic war game which takes an incredible amount of skill?
Go buy/ download Bad Company 2
That is the most difficult and realistic war game available.

1: in addition to that argument, may i still remind you that MW2 has and still is being considered to be used for professional gaming... the only deterent so far being the laggy serveres at the release but that seems to be patched now...
2: yes this game is easy to play, but hard to play it well. i've seen noobtbers, and scar H users and everyone thinks they're noobs. pro is when you see someone take out 3 people in less than 10 seconds with an m9. dont tell me a 3 year old can do that
3: thirdly and finally, bad company 2 is beta phase, not completed. is off topic as the comparison is between cod 4 and 6.

(personally, for realism you can't beat either FC2 or Crysis with the CryEngine 2. that thing is beast as you can shoot down every tree ffs! and destroy total buildings, wherever and whaterver they are...)

actually i played a match with a genuine pretige 10. he had almost like a sixth sense and knew where everybody was. he wasn't hacking becaue i surprised him sometimes with my aa12 but just watching him was a thing of beauty

doesn't that make this point kinda obvious? a p90 is a submachine gun, built for close quater combat. the only gun that would've beaten it would have been some kind of shotty, but nobody uses them as a primary weapon...

i agree with you there as the chances are like 3bill/1 because the player would've had to have a red screen and been very close without seeing you and killing you first. the player would have to use fmj and stopping power. i mean come on. who uses them two together with a scar on MW2?

skill isn't determined by the game, it's determined by the player...

because the game you regard as "the other games out there" mostly are only in the BETA phase meaning most of the game engine's glitches aren't ironed out.they are basically straight off the ideas bord with a bit of coding thrown in. the gameplay probably wouldn't run on a PS3 and they would be testing it on the most high-tech pcs money can buy. i mean, with a console with less power than a £100 buget desktop, what do you expect? you are not going to get bleeding edge physics engines and real time lighting effect from that platform. i have to admit though cod 6 is one very efficient coding as it doesnt stress my pc hlf as much as crysis does.

another thing about bad company 2 is that although it may see to be good, this topic is only about the two games and while the graphics aren't bleeding edge, they beat cod 4's and thats about the best sort of graphics you're going to get from something that has about a quarter of my laptop's power.
for real competition try out crysis 2 which is comming out. the PC versions of games are always more realistic on the pc as there is soo much more capability on this platform. and the idea of the game wasn't to provide realizm in the first place, it was there to provide a new fast action shooter that people would buy.

in the past week or so which game has you spent most time on?
cod4 or cod6?

The part about withstanding a clip of an RPD while having Painkiller was sarcasm, showing how unskillful MW2 really is, a genuine 10th prestige at this stage of the game would easily be somewhat skillful due to his superior knowledge of the players tactics and moves. WoR is a genuine 10th prestige and knows where everyone is, yet claims that mw2 is the worst multiplayer game around. He plays the BC2 beta for the shear fact that it is better than the whole of the MW2 multiplayer. Getting kills on BC2 takes twice the skill level of mw2.

I cannot give you the link as the CGS site has been removed to a new channel and is no longer in use. A newer TV programme is on TV now, with a new name, unbeknown to me. That is why the site remains closed. There are no updated videos beyond that point suggesting that mw2 will be used as a competitive game. Find me proof and prove me wrong, cause from what i see, cod4 will remain the competitive option. (Excluding CS:S, that game is amazing)
An 8 man spray with a P90 does take skill, seeing as the maximum amount of players in a domination game is only 6 and the fact that somehow a 50 bullet clip can take out that many people. Find me an 8 man spray on mw2 and prove to me that it is possible. Cause from what i see, the chances of not running into: Lag, Painkiller, an enemy with a better weapon, last stand?, final stand, terrible hit detection are very very low. The only thing really in favour is the bad spawn systems which are WORSE than cod4 and WaW.
Correction, according to mw2 skill is determind by the game,
For example your 10th prestige friend as you said was incredibly skillful, but still you, a non prestiger, managed to kill him. If Skill is decided by the player, why is it that mw2 allowed you too kill him?
